Welcome to Portsmouth Christian Middle and High Schools. Grades six through eight are transition years for students and we take this responsibility serious and are thankful that you have entrusted your students with us during these important years. Within our middle school our teachers provide a stable environment for students as they move from the elementary area into the high school division. Our goal in the middle school is to help students ease into the academic rigor that our high school offers. Students have the opportunity to partake in numerous extracurriculars including sports, fine art classes, student council, and our student worship team. We hope that students will learn to balance their academic learning with these opportunities so that they can grow academically and socially. Most importantly our middle school curriculum begins to focus on different Biblical truths each year so that students begin spiritual maturation as well.

Once students enter into the ninth grade they start on their culminating experience here at Portsmouth Christian. In recent years our high school has gone through several changes which include the introduction of our dual enrollment program, which is a partnership with John Brown University. We are excited about the opportunities that our students have to earn college credit while still being on our campus learning under our own faculty. Students now have the opportunity to earn 19 guaranteed college credits by the time they graduate, plus take other courses that will prepare them for success once they leave our school. Portsmouth Christian is also devoted to providing a well-balanced education and students have the opportunity to participate in several different activities, including National Honor Society, Student Council, Chapel Worship Team, and athletics. Our desire is for each student to become the person that the Lord wants them to be and one of the final courses they will take here at PCS is our senior Bible course which focuses on developing a Biblical worldview in all areas of life. This course is the reason that Portsmouth Christian Schools was founded, to provide an education that is rooted in Biblical philosophy and develop students in mature Christian individuals.
