Mission Statement
Portsmouth Christian Schools exist for the following purposes:
- To lead the student to acknowledge Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior .
- To declare God's truth and guide the student's experience so that he may develop into a mature Christian individual .
- To provide a learning situation in which each student can develop his potential to the highest degree . Academic truth is one aspect of this goal.
The desire of the Development Department at PCS is to make Christ known to PCS families and the community by promoting the mission and purpose of PCS. PCS faculty, school board, parents, grandparents, alumni and friends of PCS share in the vision of our school and support the school in a number of invaluable ways. We are grateful for the gifts of finances and time given by every person who chooses to support our school.
Our Role

To encompass every aspect involved in communicating Portsmouth Christian Schools ' mission to our supporters by providing opportunities for partnerships with parents, grandparents, alumni, businesses and Christian individuals.

To serve our donors primarily through news and information about donations, providing donors with advice on choosing where their gifts will go, showing them the results of their gifts and giving them special recognition.

To design and implement fundraising campaigns, for example: the Annual Fund (for general operating costs) and capital campaign (for buildings and endowments).

To raise revenue for the school to help offset expenses not covered by tuition.
Your Role

We depend on the generosity of many people who support PCS and our mission. We receive support from our parents, grandparents, alumni, and special friends of the school. PCS is like other private Christian schools in that tuition does not cover the full price of education. We need the help of our family and friends to ensure our role and mission are fulfilled.

There are several different ways of giving to PCS. The methods include the Annual Fund, Planned Giving, Capital campaign and Online Giving.
